At Kappa Delta, sisterhood turns into friendships that last far beyond the years spent in college. From the moment our newest sisters run home on Bid Day, they are welcomed into a house filled with warm hearts and smiling faces. With our open door policy, it is comforting to know that you will always have a place to go and sisters that you can count on. No matter how new you are, sisters are always welcome into our house and we wish for it to be a "home away from home" for everyone. Whether it may be laughing in the Push Back Room, studying in our library, or crying on each other's shoulders, at Kappa Delta, you will always be surrounded by girls who become your best friends.
With our alumni acting as our advisors, we experience each and every day the roles that they play in each other's lives, such as being bridesmaids in each other's weddings or attending the birthdays of their children. At Kappa Delta, we enjoy knowing that our memories and friendships will continue long after we leave the University of Central Florida; they will last forever.
Here at our chapter, we promote sisterhood by doing many different activities together. Some of these activities include an overnight sisterhood retreat in the beginning of the fall semester, watching movies and having sleepovers at the house, baking cookies, a secret sister gift exchange, attending sporting events, and going on spring break together. We even have an entire week devoted to sisterhood every spring semester with many different events planned throughout the week, such as massage therapists at the house, manicures and pedicures, and catered dinners.
The purpose of Kappa Delta sorority is to promote true friendship among the college girls of our country by instilling into their hearts and lives the principles of truth, of honor and of duty, without which there can be no true friendship.
  
National Women's Friendship Day:
"Like a beautiful flower, the layers of friendship are unfolded as time goes by and the treasure grows and becomes dear."
In every woman's life, there is one special person that holds a friendship dear to her heart. We, at Kappa Delta, feel that friendship is one of the most important things in a woman's life. Your friends are there through good and bad. They love you at your worse and run with you at your best. Kappa Delta celebrates the importance of these friendships with your mother, siblings, neighbors, sisters, or best friends. National Women's Friendship Day is a National Holiday that Kappa Delta created in order to commemorate these friendships and memories you have made. Every year, it was held on the third Sunday of September but as of 2009, National Women’s Friendship Day has now turned September into National Women’s Friendship Month.
