Here at the University of Central Florida, we take pride in two of our large philanthropies, Kappa Delta’s Shakedown Dance Competition and the Kappa Delta Shamrock Paintball tournament. Our dance competition is a big hit every fall and is the largest philanthropy held on campus. In fact, it has gained such popularity that we had to move the event to UCF’s brand new arena this year. In just this past year, we have raised over $10,000 for Prevent Child Abuse. Our paintball tournament was new this year but definetly a big hit as well. Everyone seemed to love it, we raised great amounts of money, and we can't wait to see it grow in the future.

We also enjoy reaching out and helping the Orlando community. We have participated in events such as Relay For Life, Give Kid's The World, Make a Wish Foundation, the Walk to Cure Diabetes, UCF's Knighthon, and many different 5K's. We have even volunteered at different church festivals, adopted girl scout troops, and love to be around kids. If you are an organization in need of volunteers please contact us at kd@mail.ucf.edu to see if we can help support you.

At Kappa Delta, we greatly enjoy participating in other organization's philanthropies.

This year, Kappa Delta decided to publicly "Go Green" and start a large campaign around campus. Because it is a new idea, we are still brainstorming ideas of what we can do to instill an eco-friendly environment, but so far, we have set up recycle bins all over our house and in the fraternity houses, are proudly using recyclable grocery bags, and went to Cocoa Beach to do a beach clean-up. At Kappa Delta, green is the new black!
